Starane Trawniki is a herbicide in liquid form (microemulsion, oil and water for use after dilution with water), applied foliarly, intended for post-emergence control of dicotyledonous weeds on lawns, sports fields and golf courses.

The product is intended for use by professional and non-professional users using handheld and field sprayers.

Starane Trawniki - action on weeds:

The product acts systemically. It is absorbed through the leaves and transported to the roots of the weeds, causing growth inhibition and plant death. The first symptoms on sensitive weeds appear after 1-2 days. Weed growth is inhibited and weeds die after 3-4 weeks. The product is most effective when applied during the period of intensive weed growth.

• Fluroxypyr (compound from the pyridinyloxycarboxylic acid derivatives group) as ester (fluroxypyr methyl) – 40 g/l (3.66%);
• Chlopyralid (compound from the carboxylic acid derivatives group) as monoethanolamine salt – 20 g/l (1.83%);
• MCPA (compound from the phenoxy acids group) as potassium salt – 200 g/l (18.34%).

Period from application until people can enter the treated area and animals can be introduced:

• people – 12 hours,
• farm animals – 21 days

Prevention period for bees (poisoning prevention period):

Period from last application to crop harvest (pre-harvest interval):

• not applicable.

Period from last application on plants intended for feed until animals can be fed with these plants (feed withholding period):

• plants treated with the product must not be used for feed.

Herbicide Starane Trawniki Twój Ogród - preparation of spray liquid:

Before preparing the spray liquid, accurately determine the required amount. Pour the measured amount of product into the sprayer tank partially filled with water (with the agitator on). Rinse empty containers three times with water and pour the rinsate into the sprayer tank with the spray liquid, then top up with water to the required volume. After adding the product to a sprayer tank without a hydraulic agitator, mechanically mix the liquid in the tank. In case of breaks during spraying, thoroughly mix the spray liquid in the sprayer tank before resuming work. After use, thoroughly wash the equipment.

Herbicide Starane Trawniki Twój Ogród - usage instructions:

• Do not mow the lawn for 3 days before application (to allow weeds to grow larger) and for at least 3 days after application (to allow the product to move to the roots).
• Do not use grass from 3 consecutive mowings after applying Starane Trawniki herbicide for composting or mulching any crops, ornamental plants, shrubs or trees.
• When spraying lawns near other crops, trees and shrubs, avoid drift of spray liquid onto crops, tree crowns and shrubs (especially on non-woody parts).
• Minimise contact of spray liquid with soil near shrubs and under tree crowns.
• Do not apply on young lawns with poorly rooted plants, on sick, dried or damaged plants, during excessive drought or before imminent rain.
• Do not allow farm animals, especially dairy cattle, onto treated areas for 21 days after spraying.
• Do not use plants treated with the product for feed.
• During application, avoid:
  - drift of spray liquid onto neighbouring crops
  - overlapping of spray liquid on treatment strip edges and headlands.
• Before application, inform all interested parties who may be exposed to spray drift and who have requested such information. Do not contaminate water with the plant protection product or its packaging.
• Do not wash equipment near surface waters.
• Avoid water contamination via drainage ditches from farms and roads.
• Dilute remaining spray liquid with water and spray on previously treated surfaces.
• Spray water used for equipment washing on previously treated surfaces, using the same personal protective equipment.
• To protect aquatic organisms, establish a 10-metre grassed buffer zone from water bodies and watercourses.
• To protect non-target plants, establish a 5-metre buffer zone from non-agricultural land.
