Sulcotrek 500 SC – soil and foliar herbicide for comprehensive maize protection

Sulcotrek 500 SC is a modern selective herbicide with systemic action, intended for use in maize cultivation. It contains two active substances with complementary effects – sulcotrione (173 g/l) and terbuthylazine (327 g/l) – which effectively control a wide range of dicotyledonous weeds and some species of monocotyledonous weeds.

The formulation as a suspension concentrate (SC) allows precise dosing and quick preparation of the working solution. Sulcotrek 500 SC acts both in the soil (pre-emergence) and foliar (in early BBCH growth stages of maize and weeds).

Mode of action

• Sulcotrione (HRAC F2) – mainly absorbed through leaves, disrupts carotenoid biosynthesis leading to chlorophyll loss, whitening and plant death.

• Terbuthylazine (HRAC C1) – acts mainly in the soil, absorbed by roots and transported via xylem, disrupts photosynthesis and cell membrane function in weeds.

Thanks to the combination of two different modes of action, the product reduces the risk of weed resistance development.

✅ Sensitive dicotyledonous weeds:
field pansy, common chickweed, scentless mayweed, shepherd's purse, Persian speedwell, cleavers

⚠️ Moderately sensitive:
white goosefoot, field bindweed, knotweed

❌ Resistant:
annual grass

Additional information

• Do not use in sweet maize.

• Do not apply to damaged plants, during drought, or immediately before rain.

• Maintain a buffer zone of 5–15 m from neighbouring plants and watercourses.

• The product decomposes in the soil during the growing season – after 7 months spring cereals can be grown, and after 10 months all crops.
