Description

MODE OF ACTION OF TIFF 040 OD:

TIFF 040 OD acts as a acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitor, leading to the rapid interruption of branched-chain amino acid synthesis in weeds. The product is mainly absorbed through the leaves and quickly translocated within the plant, which effectively halts the growth and development of competition for maize. The first effects are visible shortly after application, with full herbicidal effect achieved 14-20 days post-application.

A key advantage of the product is its active selectivity – maize plants naturally break down the active substance into inactive compounds, making the treatment completely safe for the crop. The product achieves maximum efficacy in controlling young, vigorously growing weeds at the 4-6 leaf stage.

CONTENT OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES:

tifensulfuron methyl (a compound from the triazolylsulfonylurea derivatives group) - 40 g/l (3.74%)

Benefits of using TIFF 040 OD:

  • High selectivity: Complete safety for maize plants due to their ability to degrade the active substance.
  • Systemic action: Rapid penetration and transport within weeds ensures their permanent elimination from the crop.
  • OD formulation: Oil dispersion improves spray liquid adhesion, increasing effectiveness under variable weather conditions.

Pre-harvest interval:

  • Maize - not applicable
