Active Mag is a carbonate lime fertiliser with added magnesium. This mineral fertiliser is obtained by granulating magnesium dust and finely ground limestone rock. The lime acts quickly, is dry, highly reactive, with uniform density and very solid granulation. The magnesium contained in the fertiliser helps maintain a crumb structure and prevents silting during heavy rainfall, as well as supporting water retention. It neutralises soil acidity better than calcium. Active Mag fertiliser is used for intervention supplementation of calcium and magnesium in the soil. Suitable for all soil types (especially very acidic and slightly acidic soils, poor in magnesium), in all crop groups. Particularly recommended for fields requiring even liming and for large farms where liming is carried out regardless of current weather conditions.

The fertiliser quickly improves soil pH, enabling plants to better absorb nutrients and limiting the uptake of heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, chromium, etc. Proper soil pH is essential for nutrient uptake by plants. It is estimated that 60-70% of soils have acidic or very acidic pH, which prevents effective crop cultivation. Active Calc brings the growing medium to an optimal pH for plants and supplies an important nutrient, calcium. Moreover, it positively affects the physical properties of the soil, contributing to maintaining favourable air-water relations for plants. High solubility stimulates the soil to quickly change pH and promotes crop growth and proper development.

The 25kg packaging is dedicated to plantations that require rapid action and very fast fertiliser dissolution (granulation 2-3mm), as well as for allotment, horticultural sectors and home garden areas. Recommended for lawns. The Big Bag version (600kg) contains larger granules (3 to 6mm) and is intended for larger farms for wide fertiliser spreading, with a possible spread width of up to 30 metres. Recommended for fields with low and very low magnesium content in the soil.

Composition and physicochemical properties of Active-Mag fertiliser:

Composition:

  • Sum of calcium and magnesium oxides (CaO and MgO) - minimum 50%,
    - including magnesium oxide (MgO) - minimum 13%.

Physicochemical properties:

  • Grinding: record level, more than 93% of granules have a diameter below 0.5mm,
  • Moisture: very low, 3.5%,
  • Granulation (depending on packaging size):
    - 25kg pack contains uniform granules 2-3mm (smaller granule size),
    - 600kg pack contains uniform granules 3-6mm (larger granules).
  • Type: EU fertiliser, carbonate, variant 06.

Active Mag carbonate lime fertiliser - recommendations:

  • Protect from sunlight and moisture. Properly transported and stored product retains very good viability. Even long storage will not affect product quality. Only packaging may change (fading or ageing process), but this does not affect the quality and reactivity of the active substances.
  • Recommended dose according to fertilisation guidelines, depending on crop requirements and liming needs.
  • When used as top dressing on plants, do not exceed 0.5 t CaO/ha.
  • For most crops and soils in Poland, doses range from 500kg to 1000kg per hectare.
  • Apply from spring to late autumn, before soil cultivation or as top dressing, when crop growth conditions allow.
  • Distribute evenly.
