Pantoea Care Biosimex - microbiological fertiliser product
Pantoea Care is a microbiological fertiliser product improving the health of horticultural crops, qualified by IUNG-PIB in Puławy for use in organic farming under number NE/883/2025.
Description
Pantoea Care - microbiological fertiliser product improving the health of horticultural crops
- no pre-harvest interval or withholding period
- no residues of plant protection products
- no risk of pathogen resistance development to the product
- multidirectional mode of action
- can be used in conventional and organic farming
The microbiological fertiliser product Pantoea Care contains a high concentration of unique bacterial strains from the genus Pantoea, characterised by the ability to rapidly colonise the above-ground parts of plants, creating a natural barrier limiting the harmfulness of pathogens. The bacteria contained in the product are capable of producing active metabolites that enhance the natural resistance of plants, improving health, development, yield and post-harvest durability of fruits.
Pantoea Care contains TWO EFFECTIVE BACTERIAL STRAINS FROM THE GENUS PANTAEA, isolated from 2700 tested strains by the Institute of Horticulture – National Research Institute in Skierniewice.
- Pantoea Agglomerans T16/8,
- Pantoea Allii T14/15
10⁹ colony-forming units per 1 gram of the product.
The bacteria contained in the product originate from the natural environment. Thanks to the use of Pantoea Care, it is possible to reduce chemical plant protection treatments and produce fruits and vegetables without residues of harmful substances and with respect for the natural environment.
Mechanisms of action of Pantoea Care on the plant:
- Antibiosis – Pantoea bacterial strains are capable of synthesising metabolites with antibiotic activity such as phenazine. They produce enzymes capable of breaking down cell walls.
- Competition – bacteria occupy space and synthesise iron-binding compounds, limiting the development of pathogens. Additionally, bacteria synthesise homoserine lactones – substances through which bacterial cells communicate and more actively colonise plant tissues.
- Biostimulation – strains from the genus Pantoea possess genes encoding phytohormonal substances, enabling biostimulation, thus positively influencing plant growth and yield.
- Post-harvest durability – after application of Pantoea Care, fruits and vegetables gain extended post-harvest durability, improving their storage properties.
Benefits of using Pantoea Care:
- improved crop health
- better nutrition, vigour and plant growth
- higher yield
- increased plant resistance to stress factors
- enhanced post-harvest durability of fruits
Pantoea Care - application:
Studies have shown that bacteria contained in Pantoea Care reduce disease pressure such as:
- Apple tree – (storage diseases) – grey mould, anthracnose.
- Apple tree, Pear tree – fire blight
- Sour cherry – brown rot of stone fruit trees
- Grapevine – grey mould.
- Strawberry – grey mould, anthracnose, leather rot of fruits, bacterial leaf spot of strawberry
- Blueberry – grey mould, anthracnose
- Raspberry – grey mould
- Lettuce – grey mould, sclerotinia stem rot
- Carrot – alternaria leaf spot, powdery mildew
- Head cabbage – black rot of crucifers
- Root celery – sclerotinia stem rot
Pantoea Care - usage recommendations:
- The product is intended for foliar application – fine- or medium-droplet spray.
- Use non-chlorinated water.
- The product shows highest effectiveness in pH range 6.2 – 7.2.
- Avoid treatments in full sunlight; treatments should be performed in the morning or evening.
- Do not combine the product with copper- or silver-based preparations.
- Before using the product, thoroughly clean the sprayer (contamination from chemical plant protection products and fertilisers may deactivate the solution).
