Description
ACTION OF BARISTO 500 SC:
Baristo 500 SC is a selective herbicide with systemic action, intended for soil application to control weeds in winter oilseed rape, white headed cabbage, cauliflower and strawberries. The product, available as a concentrated suspension, provides effective protection against unwanted vegetation.
The key active substance, napropamide, works by penetrating the seedlings, young shoots, roots or seed coats of weeds. It is an inhibitor of fatty acid synthesis, which leads to the inhibition of cutin and cuticular wax production – substances that protect the plant from drying out and damage. As a result, the weeds cannot survive, leading to their complete destruction.
Baristo 500 SC is most effective during weed germination. It acts on weeds emerging both in autumn and spring. Even in dry weather, after rainfall occurs, the product activates and destroys emerging weeds.
Advantages of using BARISTO 500 SC:
- Long-lasting effect: Provides protection against weeds emerging in both autumn and spring.
- Soil action: Effectively eliminates weeds at the germination stage, preventing further development.
- Versatility: Can be used in various crops, increasing its universality.
- Weather resistance: Activates even after dry periods when rainfall occurs.
- Convenient form: Water-dilutable concentrate facilitates preparation of the spray liquid.
