Rival Duo Agria - fungicide

Rival Duo Agria is a fungicide in the form of a suspension concentrate (SC). It acts systemically and locally. For preventive and curative use in protecting potatoes against potato late blight.

The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.

Rival Duo - mode of action:

The product exhibits systemic and local action - the active substance penetrates the plant, acts at the site of application and circulates within the plant with the sap, eliminating fungal cells inside the plant.

Rival Duo Agria fungicide - active substance content:

• Propamocarb hydrochloride (a carbamic acid derivative) – 400 g/l (36.46%),
• Cymoxanil (an iminoacetylurea compound) – 50 g/l (4.56%).

The product contains two active substances: cymoxanil (FRAC group 27) and propamocarb hydrochloride (FRAC group 28).

Pre-harvest interval - time from last application to crop harvest:

• Potato – 14 days.

Withholding period for fodder - time from last application on plants intended for fodder to when animals can be fed with these plants:

• Not applicable.

Withholding period - time from application to when people and animals may enter the treated area:

• At least 2 days.

Time from last application to sowing or planting succeeding crops:

• Not applicable.

Rival Duo fungicide - preparation of spray liquid:

Prepare the spray liquid immediately before use. Shake the container before opening. Before preparing the spray liquid, accurately determine the required volume and amount of product. When filling the sprayer, follow the sprayer manufacturer's instructions. If no instructions are available, add the measured amount of product to a partially filled sprayer tank with water (with the agitator on). Rinse empty containers three times with water and pour the rinsate into the sprayer tank with the spray liquid, top up with water to the required volume and mix thoroughly. If the sprayer tank is not equipped with a hydraulic agitator, mix the liquid mechanically after adding the product. In case of interruptions during spraying, mix the spray liquid thoroughly before resuming work.

Rival Duo Agria plant protection product - usage instructions:

• During application, prevent spray drift onto neighbouring crops.
• The product contains the active substances cymoxanil (FRAC group 27) and propamocarb hydrochloride (FRAC group 28, inhibitors of fatty acid synthesis and affecting cell membrane permeability). Repeated use of fungicides containing active substances with the same mode of action may lead to selection of resistant pathogen strains and reduced efficacy. Therefore, as part of resistance management, it is recommended to:
  - use the product only at the recommended dose, mainly preventively,
  - use the product for no more than half of the planned treatments in the season,
  - include products with different modes of action in the protection programme (alternating or sequential use).
• Store the plant protection product:
  - in original packaging,
  - in a way that prevents contact with food, beverages or fodder, environmental contamination, and access by unauthorized persons,
  - at temperatures between 0°C and 30°C, away from heat sources.
