SEALICIT® applied before the flowering of oilseed rape influences the later development of pods. The product works by blocking the IND genes controlling the hardening of maturing pods. In their junction zone, at the so-called seam, fewer thick-walled, lignin-rich woody cells are formed. This reduces the stresses in drying tissues and limits pod shattering during maturation and before harvest.

It reduces seed shedding during critical weather conditions (wind, hail, heat) and during mechanical harvesting.

It helps optimise the harvest timing of crops, allowing them to be collected at full maturity. It enables easier harvest management over large areas.
