Description

MODE OF ACTION OF BOTECTOR:

Botector is an innovative, biological fungicide in granule form for preparing a water suspension (WG), designed for preventive protection of crops against grey mould.

The key element of Botector's action is the highly effective active substance: Aureobasidium pullulans. This unique microorganism provides excellent protection, even in extreme conditions – both on wet, dry, cold, and hot days. Botector is especially recommended for berry crops, where it shows remarkable efficacy.

Mechanism of action of Botector:

- After applying Botector, micro-damage sites on the fruit surface (which serve as natural entry points for the pathogen) are immediately colonised by Aureobasidium pullulans.

- Due to the rapid growth rate of Aureobasidium pullulans, the pathogen responsible for grey mould cannot infect the plants.

- Micro-damages are completely colonised, and Botector® acts as a natural shield, effectively protecting fruits against infection by Botrytis cinerea.

Advantages of using Botector:

- High efficacy: Provides strong protection against grey mould in all weather conditions.

- No residues: Ideal for crops where the purity of the final product is important.

- No resistance development: Minimises the risk of pathogens becoming resistant to the product.

- Ideal for integrated pest management (IPM): Fits perfectly into modern crop management strategies.

- Versatile application: Recommended for both organic and conventional farming.

- Compatibility: Easily combines with most other solutions used to control grey mould in berry crops.

BOTECTOR CONTENT OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES:

5x10^9 germinating cells per gram of the fungus Aureobasidium pullulans [strain OSM 14940 and OSM 14941].
