Benefits of using Chaco herbicide, Belchim:

  • Targeted action - product for weeds in winter oilseed rape and white mustard crops.
  • Effectively controls cornflower, scentless chamomile, field sow-thistle, cleavers and other weeds.
  • Contains two active substances (chlopyralid, picloram) - for improved product efficacy.
  • Broad spectrum of controlled weeds.
  • Low and effective dose per hectare.

Chaco is a herbicide intended for spring control of annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds in white mustard and winter oilseed rape. It is available as a water-soluble concentrate (SC), which influences the speed of action of the product and enhances its weed-killing effect. For foliar application.

Chaco is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.

Elipris weed control product - active substance content:

  • chlopyralid (substance from the pyridine carboxylic acid derivatives group) - 267 g/l (22.86%),
  • picloram (substance from the pyridine carboxylic acid derivatives group) - 67 g/l (5.74%).

Chaco Belchim - mode of action:

Chaco herbicide contains two active substances: chlopyralid and picloram.

According to HRAC classification, the active substances belong to group O.

Chaco exhibits systemic action. The product is absorbed through the leaves of weeds and then rapidly translocated throughout the plant, causing deformation and growth inhibition, ultimately leading to death of the entire weed.

Chaco Belchim plant protection product - conditions favouring proper product action:

At low temperatures, complete weed destruction occurs after about 3 weeks. The product most effectively destroys weeds at the 2-6 leaf stage.

Rainfall 2 hours after application does not adversely affect its action.

Which weeds does Chaco herbicide control?

Sensitive weeds:

  • cornflower,
  • scentless chamomile,
  • field sow-thistle,
  • field thistle,
  • black nightshade,
  • cleavers (young plants),
  • common chamomile,
  • small-flowered yellow-cress.

Moderately sensitive weeds:

  • cleavers (when plants are 9-15 cm tall),
  • field bindweed,
  • dotted smartweed,
  • rough amaranth.

Chaco effectively controls cleavers up to 8 cm in height and Asteraceae weeds at the rosette stage. The effectiveness of cleavers control depends on the density of the oilseed rape stand and the height of cleavers during treatment - with lower than optimal oilseed rape density in spring or when cleavers exceed 8 cm in height at treatment time, cleavers may regrow.

Which weeds are resistant to Chaco herbicide?

Moderately resistant weeds:

  • white goosefoot.

Resistant weeds:

  • field violet,
  • common chickweed,
  • ivy-leaved speedwell,
  • bird's-foot knotweed,
  • common ragwort,
  • monocotyledonous weeds,
  • weeds from the cabbage family.

Chaco herbicide can be used in crops:

  • winter oilseed rape,
  • white mustard.

Chaco weed control product - crop rotation:

The product decomposes during the growing season without posing a threat to succeeding crops (spring cereals, winter cereals, maize, sugar beet, flax, grasses and other recommended crops). If reseeding of the treated field is necessary, only maize, flax, spring oilseed rape, spring cereals and white mustard may be grown on the same field.

Chaco Belchim herbicide - re-entry interval and pre-harvest interval:

Re-entry interval - period from application until people and animals may enter the treated area:

  • Do not enter until the spray liquid has completely dried on the plant surfaces.

Pre-harvest interval - period from last application until crop harvest:

  • Winter oilseed rape, white mustard – 60 days

Chaco herbicide - preparation of spray liquid:

Prepare the spray liquid immediately before use. Before preparing the spray liquid, determine the required volume and amount of product. When filling the sprayer, follow the manufacturer's instructions. If no instructions are available, add the measured amount of product to the sprayer tank partially filled with water (with the agitator on). Rinse empty containers three times with water, pouring the rinsate into the sprayer tank, then fill with water to the required volume and mix thoroughly. If the sprayer lacks hydraulic agitation, mix the spray liquid mechanically after adding the product. In case of spraying interruptions, mix the spray liquid thoroughly before resuming work.

Chaco - application guidelines:

  • Do not apply:
    - to wet, diseased or damaged plants,
    - at air temperatures below 8° C or above 25° C,
    - during excessive drought,
    - after night frosts or before expected frosts.
  • During application, avoid:
    - spray drift onto neighbouring crops,
    - overlapping spray liquid on treatment strip edges and headlands.
  • Due to the very high sensitivity of some crops even to trace amounts of the product, thorough cleaning of the sprayer after use is essential, especially before using it on crops other than those recommended.
