Description
Chlomazon 480 EC - herbicide
- Effectively controls monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds.
- Broad spectrum - for use in winter oilseed rape cultivation.
- In a convenient and efficient concentrated suspension form for dilution with water.
Chlomazon 480 EC is a selective herbicide in concentrate form for preparing a water emulsion (EC). It acts systemically. For soil application in the control of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in winter oilseed rape cultivation.
The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.
Chlomazon 480 EC - mode of action:
The product penetrates the plant through the roots, causing inhibition of carotenoid synthesis. It acts on weeds during their germination period. After application, sensitive plants either fail to emerge or turn white and wither after emergence.
Chlomazon 480 EC herbicide - active substance content:
- Chlomazon (compound from the isoxazolidinone group) – 480 g/l (47.3%).
According to the HRAC classification, the active substance chlomazon belongs to group F3.

Chlomazon 480 EC herbicide - use in crops:
Agricultural crops:
- Winter oilseed rape.
Chlomazon Pestila herbicide - pre-harvest interval and withholding period:
Pre-harvest interval - time from last application to crop harvest:
- Not applicable.
Withholding period - time from application until people and animals can enter the treated area:
- 1 day.
Chlomazon Pestila herbicide - crop rotation:
If the product is used after harvesting the crop on the same field, winter cereals can be grown, especially with later sowing dates. Temporary discolorations may occur in winter cereals but without significant impact on yield.
If early destruction of winter oilseed rape crops is necessary (e.g. due to frost damage or damage by diseases or pests):
– do not use products containing chlomazon on succeeding crops,
– in autumn (immediately after application of a product containing chlomazon), after ploughing to 25 cm depth, only winter cereals except winter barley may be grown on the same field,
– in spring, after ploughing to at least 15 cm depth, the following crops may be grown on the same field: field bean, broad bean, courgette, pumpkin, pea, bean, cabbage, maize, cucumber, tomato seedlings, sunflower, soybean, spring oilseed rape, spring wheat, potato or tobacco.
When using Chlomazon 480 EC in tank mix with Znachor 500 SC or Macho 500 SC or MET-NEX 500 SC or Rapex 500 SC, follow the crop rotation recommendations for the product included in the mixture.
Chlomazon herbicide - preparation of spray liquid:
Before preparing the spray liquid, accurately determine the required amount. Pour the measured amount of product into the sprayer tank partially filled with water (with the agitator on). Rinse empty containers three times with water and pour the rinsate into the spray tank. Then fill the sprayer tank with water to the required volume. If the sprayer is not equipped with a hydraulic agitator, mix the liquid mechanically after adding the product. Stir the spray liquid again during longer applications or after breaks; use the spray liquid on the day of preparation. Spray with the agitator on.
WARNING: Due to the very high sensitivity of some crops even to trace amounts of the product, it is very important to thoroughly clean the equipment after use.
Chlomazon 480 EC Pestila plant protection product - usage instructions:
- Use the higher recommended dose on heavy soils with high humus content.
- Application requires particularly good agrotechnical conditions including proper cultivation, soil moisture, etc.

– during or after crop emergence due to risk of damage,
– on excessively wet or dry soils,
