Description

Difaz Sharda - fungicide for powdery mildew of brassicas and leek rust on onion

  • Acts both preventively and curatively.
  • Effective against powdery mildew (cauliflower, cabbage) and leek rust (onion).
  • Easily absorbed by the plant.
  • High efficacy of control.
  • Protects new growth, acts both internally and externally (systemic and translaminar).
  • In a convenient and efficient concentrated suspension concentrate form for dilution with water.

Difaz Sharda is a fungicide in the form of a concentrated suspension concentrate for dilution with water (SC). It acts translaminarly and systemically. Intended for preventive and curative use in the protection of cabbage and cauliflower against powdery mildew of brassicas and in the protection of onion against leek rust.

The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.

Difaz - mode of action:

The product exhibits translaminar and systemic action. It acts immediately at the site of application, then penetrates the plant and circulates with the sap. It protects the entire plant (including new growth) against powdery mildew of brassicas and leek rust on onion.

Difaz fungicide - active substance content:

  • azoxystrobin (compound from the strobilurin group) – 200 g/l (17.86%),
  • difenoconazole (compound from the triazole group) – 125 g/l (11.16%).

According to the FRAC classification, the active substance difenoconazole belongs to group FRAC 3, while azoxystrobin belongs to group FRAC 11.

Difaz - controlled fungal diseases:

  • Powdery mildew of brassica plants (disease incidence reduction),
  • Leek rust.

Difaz fungicide - use in crops:

  • Onion (field cultivation),
  • Cabbage (white, red, savoy),
  • Cauliflower (field cultivation).

Difaz fungicide Sharda - pre-harvest interval, re-entry period, succeeding crops:

Pre-harvest interval - period from last application of the product to the day of crop harvest:

  • Onion, cauliflower – 14 days,
  • Cabbage – 21 days.

Pre-harvest interval for fodder - period from last application on plants intended for fodder to the day animals can be fed with these plants (pre-harvest interval for fodder):

  • Not applicable.

Re-entry period - period from application to the day when people and animals may enter the treated area:

  • Do not enter until the spray liquid has completely dried on the plant surface.
  • Re-entry on the sprayed area/crop on the day of application is only possible when using personal protective equipment required for product use. Further work on sprayed areas/crops in greenhouses should generally be performed only after 24 hours from application.

Period from last application to the day when succeeding crops can be sown or planted:

  • Not applicable.

Difaz for powdery mildew of brassicas and leek rust on onion - preparation of spray liquid:

Shake the package contents before use. Prepare the spray liquid immediately before application. Before preparing the spray liquid, accurately determine the required volume and amount of product. When filling the sprayer, follow the sprayer manufacturer's instructions. If no instructions are available, add the measured amount of product to the sprayer tank partially filled with water (with agitator on). Rinse empty packaging three times with water, pour rinsate into the sprayer tank with spray liquid, top up with water to the required volume and mix thoroughly. If the sprayer tank is not equipped with a hydraulic agitator, mix the liquid mechanically after adding the product. In case of interruptions during spraying, mix the spray liquid thoroughly before resuming work.

Difaz plant protection product - usage guidelines:

  • During use, avoid:
    - drift of spray liquid onto neighbouring crops,
    - overlapping of spray liquid at treatment strip edges and headlands.
  • The product contains two active substances with different modes of action: difenoconazole from the triazole group (fungicides inhibiting sterol biosynthesis - demethylation inhibitors, SBIDMI, FRAC group 3) and azoxystrobin from the strobilurin group (cellular respiration inhibitors – cytochrome bc1 inhibitor - QoI fungicides, FRAC group 11). To prevent resistance development in pathogen populations, it is recommended to:
    - use the product mainly for preventive treatments,
    - not use doses other than recommended,
    - include fungicides with active substances from other groups with different modes of action in the protection programme (alternating or tank mixing),
    - use non-chemical disease control methods consistent with integrated pest management principles.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Store the plant protection product:
    - in original packaging,
    - to prevent contact with food, beverages or fodder, environmental contamination and access by unauthorized persons,
    - at 5°C – 30°C,
    - in a dry and well-ventilated place.
