Goltix Compact 90 WG is a herbicide in granule form for preparing a water suspension, used soil-applied or foliar, intended for the control of certain species of annual dicotyledonous weeds in sugar beet and strawberry.

ACTIVE SUBSTANCE CONTENT: metamitron (a compound from the triazinone group) - 900 g/kg

Goltix is a product intended for use in agriculture with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.

Weed sensitivity in sugar beet cultivation

Sensitive weeds:

  • field pansy,
  • common chickweed,
  • red dead-nettle,
  • white goosefoot,
  • scentless mayweed,
  • cleavers,
  • rough pigweed,
  • field pennycress,
  • oilseed rape volunteers.

Weed sensitivity in strawberry cultivation

Sensitive weeds:

  • common chickweed,
  • red dead-nettle,
  • small-flowered yellow-cress.

Moderately sensitive weeds:

  • corn chamomile.

Moderately resistant weeds:

  • couch grass.

A. Protection of sugar beet with one soil-applied treatment and two foliar treatments on properly prepared plantations in terms of agrotechnics (treatments up to a maximum of 6 leaves stage of sugar beet BBCH 16):
Maximum / recommended doses for single application:
first treatment directly before weed emergence -
Goltix Compact 90 WG at 1.5 kg/ha,
second treatment 7-10 days after the first treatment, at the time of weed seedling emergence in the plantation -
Goltix Compact 90 WG at 0.8 kg/ha + Powertwin 400 SC at 1.0 l/ha,
third treatment 7-10 days after the second treatment, at the time of further weed seedling emergence in the plantation –
Goltix Compact 90 WG at 0.8 kg/ha + Powertwin 400 SC at 1.0 l/ha.

B. Protection of sugar beet exclusively with three foliar treatments on plantations with high agrotechnical standards and under atmospheric conditions optimal for sugar beet development (treatments up to a maximum of 8 leaves stage of sugar beet - BBCH 18):
On sites where weed infestation is assessed as low or medium (where weed species classified as sensitive to the active substances are present)
Maximum / recommended doses for single application:
first treatment on weeds at cotyledon stage -
Goltix Compact 90 WG at 0.8 kg/ha + Powertwin 400 SC at 1.0 l/ha,
second treatment (7-14 days after the first treatment) on newly emerged weeds at cotyledon stage -
Goltix Compact 90 WG at 0.8 kg/ha + Powertwin 400 SC at 1.0 l/ha,
third treatment on further weed emergence at cotyledon stage -
Goltix Compact 90 WG at 0.8 kg/ha + Powertwin 400 SC at 1.0 l/ha.

C. On heavily infested sites where species classified as sensitive to the active substances occur massively (treatments up to a maximum of 8 leaves stage of sugar beet BBCH 18):
Maximum / recommended doses for single application:
first treatment on weeds at cotyledon stage -
Goltix Compact 90 WG 0.8 kg/ha + Powertwin 400 SC 1.0 l/ha,
second treatment (usually 5-10 days after the first treatment) on newly emerged weeds at cotyledon stage -
Goltix Compact 90 WG 1.3 kg/ha + Powertwin 400 SC 1.0 l/ha,
third treatment (usually 5-10 days after the second treatment) on
further weed emergence at cotyledon stage -
Goltix Compact 90 WG 1.3 kg/ha + Powertwin 400 SC 1.0 l/ha.
