LATE WINDSOR WHITE BROAD BEANS 1 KG
Windsor White Broad Beans is a valued, mid-late variety with a growing period of about 80–90 days. It performs excellently in cultivation due to its high yield and exceptional crop quality.
Variety characteristics:
Pods are long, easy to open, with 6–10 per plant.
Each pod contains 3–4 large, well-developed seeds.
Fresh seeds are light, slightly flattened, with a delicate mark.
After cooking, they retain their shape, creamy consistency and excellent flavour.
The variety is perfect for direct consumption, preserving and freezing.
Growing conditions:
Broad beans grow best in sunny or slightly shaded locations, in heavier soil rich in humus, with a slightly alkaline pH. Sowing is done directly into the ground from March to April, maintaining a spacing of 20 × 40 cm.
Harvest:
The first harvests occur in June and – depending on the sowing date – can last until August.
