Description
ACTION OF MENTUM 040 OD:
Mentum 040 OD is a non-selective herbicide with systemic action designed for the control of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in maize cultivation. The product is applied foliarly - it is mainly absorbed through the leaves and quickly translocated within the plant, inhibiting its development and growth. Initially, this is manifested by gradual discoloration of the plants, leading to complete weed death about 20-25 days after treatment. The product is available in a convenient oil suspension form for dilution with water.
The product is most effective on young, vigorously growing weeds at the 2-4 leaf stage (dicotyledonous weeds) or from the 3-leaf stage to the end of tillering (monocotyledonous weeds). Warm and humid weather accelerates the product's action, while dry conditions may delay it.
