Description

Pyrogal - fungicide for scab

  • Effectively protects apple trees and pear trees against scab.
  • Also for use in pea and grapevine cultivation for protection against grey mould.
  • In a convenient and efficient form of concentrated suspension concentrate for dilution with water.

Pyrogal is a fungicide in the form of a concentrated suspension concentrate for dilution with water (SC), with surface and systemic action for preventive and curative use in protection against fungal diseases: protection of pear trees against pear scab, protection of apple trees against apple scab, and protection against grey mould in pea and grapevine cultivation.

The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted orchard sprayers and field sprayers. For the protection of apple trees and pear trees, the product can also be applied using handheld sprayers.

Pyrogal fungicide - active substance content:

  • pyrimethanil (anilinopyrimidine compound) - 400 g/l (37.5%).

According to the FRAC classification, the active substance belongs to group 9.

Pyrogal - controlled fungal diseases:

  • Apple scab,
  • Pear scab,
  • Grey mould (moderate control level).

Pyrogal fungicide - use in crops:

Orchard crops:

  • Apple tree,
  • Pear tree,
  • Grapevine (field cultivation).

Vegetable crops:

  • Pea (for dry seeds).

Pyrogal fungicide - pre-harvest interval, re-entry period, succeeding crops:

Pre-harvest interval - the period from the last application of the product to the day of crop harvest:

  • Apple tree, pear tree – 56 days,
  • Pea – 28 days,
  • Grapevine – 21 days.

Pre-harvest interval for fodder - the period from the last application of the product on plants intended for fodder to the day when animals can be fed with these plants (pre-harvest interval for fodder):

  • Not applicable.

Re-entry period - the period from the application of the product to the day when people may enter the treated area and animals may be introduced:

  • Immediately after treatment for inspection – after the spray liquid has dried on the plant surface.
  • For performing field work:
    - Grapevine – 5 days,
    - Apple tree, pear tree – 1 day,
    - Pea – 2 days.

Period from the last application of the product on plants to the day when succeeding crops can be sown or planted:

  • Not applicable.

Pyrogal fungicide - preparation of spray liquid:

Before preparing the spray liquid, accurately determine the required volume along with the amount of product. When filling the sprayer, follow the sprayer manufacturer's instructions. If no instructions are available, add the measured amount of product to the sprayer tank partially filled with water (with the agitator on) and top up with water to the required volume. Spray with the agitator on. After adding the product to a sprayer tank without a hydraulic agitator, mechanically mix the liquid in the tank. Empty containers should be rinsed three times with water, and the rinsate poured into the sprayer tank with the spray liquid. In case of interruptions during spraying, thoroughly mix the spray liquid in the sprayer tank before resuming work.

Pyrogal plant protection product - usage instructions:

  • Application with a handheld (backpack) sprayer should only be performed when the use of field sprayers is not possible (due to terrain conditions). In such cases, a spray boom at least 1 metre long should be used during application.
  • The recommended dose for orchard crop protection refers to the actual sprayed object, i.e. the side surface of the tree row, defined as "leaf wall area" - LWA: Leaf wall area [m2/ha] = (2 x height of leaf wall [m] / row spacing [m]) x 10,000 [m2/ha]
  • Calculation of the amount of product needed per 1 ha of orchard (l/ha) to prepare the spray liquid: Amount of product [l/ha] = recommended dose per leaf wall area [l/10,000 m2] x leaf wall area [m2/ha] / 10,000 [m2/ha]
  • Do not exceed the maximum recommended doses: 1.0 l/ha for apple and pear tree protection, 2.5 l/ha for grapevine protection, even if the current leaf wall area (LWA) indicates a need for a higher dose.
  • The product contains the active substance pyrimethanil (anilinopyrimidine compound - methionine synthesis inhibitor group, AP - fungicides, according to FRAC Group 9). As part of resistance management strategy, it is recommended to:
− use the product only at recommended doses, mainly preventively,
− alternate the product with other fungicides containing active substances from different groups with different modes of action,
− do not use fungicides containing anilinopyrimidine active substances (AP fungicides according to FRAC Group 9) more than four times per growing season in apple and pear tree protection and only once per season in grapevine protection.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Store the plant protection product:
    − in original packaging,
− in a way that prevents contact with food, beverages or fodder, environmental contamination, and access by unauthorized persons,
    − at temperatures between 0°C and 30°C,
    − in a dry and well-ventilated place.
