Description
How to use Ramzes?
Ramzes is a herbicide in granule form for preparing a water suspension. The product is mainly absorbed through the leaves and then quickly translocated within the plant, causing the cessation of its development and growth.
The herbicidal effect is visible 7-20 days after treatment. The product shows active selectivity, meaning maize, potatoes and tomatoes break it down into inactive compounds.
Active substance:
rimsulfuron – a compound from the sulfonylurea derivatives group – 25% (250 g in 1 kg of product).
Effect on weeds:
Sensitive weeds:
common chickweed, small geranium, one-sided grass, common fumitory, common chickweed, purple dead-nettle, couch grass, cleavers, volunteer oilseed rape, rough amaranth, shepherd's purse, field pennycress.
Moderately sensitive weeds:
field violet, white goosefoot, climbing knotweed, leafy spurge
Moderately resistant weeds:
Persian speedwell.
Dosage:
Maize:
a) Control of couch grass, one-sided grass and other grass-like weeds as well as some annual monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds.
Maximum dose for single application: 60 g/ha.
Recommended dose for single application: 50 – 60 g/ha.
Ramzes 25 WG 50 - 60 g/ha + Trend 90 EC at 0.1% concentration (100 ml /100 l water).
Use the higher dose when there is a high occurrence of weed species other than one-sided grass.
Application timing: Use the product at the 1 - 7 leaf stage of maize (counting all leaves).
b) Control of grass-like and dicotyledonous weeds occurring in high infestation.
Maximum / recommended dose for single application: 50 g/ha.
Ramzes 25 WG 50 g/ha + Refine 75 WG (or Harmony 75 WG) 10 g/ha + Trend 90 EC at 0.1% concentration (100 ml /100 l water).
Application timing: Use the product at the 3 - 4 leaf stage of maize (counting all leaves).
Recommended water volume: 200-300 l/ha.
Recommended spraying: medium droplet size.
Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 1.
Potato:
a) Control of couch grass and grass-like weeds and some dicotyledonous weeds.
A. Single treatment
Maximum / recommended dose for single application: 60 g/ha.
Ramzes 25 WG 60 g/ha + Trend 90 EC at 0.1% concentration.
Application timing: Use the product from the first leaf stage to the visible second lateral shoot stage of potato.
B. Two treatments (split dose)
• first treatment
Maximum / recommended dose for single application: 30 g/ha.
Ramzes 25 WG 30 g/ha + Trend 90 EC at 0.1% concentration.
Application timing: Use the product at the 1 – 7 leaf stage of potato, at the 2-3 leaf stage of couch grass.
• second treatment
Maximum / recommended dose for single application: 30 g/ha.
Ramzes 25 WG 30 g/ha + Trend 90 EC at 0.1% concentration.
Application timing: Use the product 15 days after the first treatment when potato plants reach up to 15 cm in height or at the time of secondary regrowth of couch grass.
Recommended water volume 200-300 l/ha.
Recommended spraying: medium droplet size.
b) Heavy infestation with white goosefoot and other dicotyledonous weeds.
A. Single treatment
Maximum dose for single application: 50 g/ha.
Recommended dose for single application: 40 – 50 g/ha.
Ramzes 25 WG 40-50 g/ha + Sencor 70 WG 0.3 kg/ha + Trend 90 EC at 0.1% concentration.
Use the higher recommended dose of Ramzes 25 WG when heavy infestation occurs.
Application timing: Use the product when potato plants reach 15 cm in height, monocotyledonous weeds are at the 2-3 leaf stage, and dicotyledonous weeds at the 2-6 leaf stage.
B. Two treatments (split dose)
• first treatment
Maximum / recommended dose for single application: 30 g/ha.
Ramzes 25 WG 30g/ha + Sencor 70 WG 0.25 kg/ha + Trend 90 EC at 0.1% concentration.
Application timing: Use the product when potato plants reach 15 cm in height, monocotyledonous weeds are at the 1-3 leaf stage; and dicotyledonous weeds at the 2-4 leaf stage.
• second treatment
Maximum / recommended dose for single application: 20 g/ha.
Ramzes 25 WG 20 g/ha + Trend 90 EC at 0.1% concentration.
Application timing: Use the product 15 days after the first treatment on newly emerging weeds.
Recommended water volume: 200-300 l/ha.
Recommended spraying: medium droplet size.
In potato varieties sensitive to Sencor 70 WG, apply Ramzes 25 WG after potato emergence.
• first treatment just before potato emergence, after prior desiccation and prohibition of the plantation, apply Sencor 70 WG at 0.5 kg/ha.
• second treatment
Maximum / recommended dose for single application: 50 g/ha.
Ramzes 25 WG 50 g/ha + Trend 90 EC at 0.1% concentration.

Recommended water volume: 200-300 l/ha.
Recommended spraying: medium droplet size.
