FEATURES OF THE TRITICALE WINTER AVOKADO VARIETY:
Triticale winter AVOKADO is an exceptionally flexible variety that solves the problem of utilising poorer sites on the farm. It is especially recommended for cultivation on poor and very poor soils (excluding strongly acidic ones). It is characterised by very good tillering ability and excellent winter hardiness (rating 5.5), which guarantees safe overwintering and a dynamic start in early spring, regardless of weather whims.
This variety is also synonymous with excellent raw material quality. It produces a high yield with a high Thousand Grain Weight (TGW) and excellent uniformity, effectively reducing unwanted admixture. Importantly, the high lodging resistance ensures very high resistance to grain sprouting in the ear (rating 6), protecting feed and baking quality during wet, delayed harvests. Growers also appreciate AVOKADO for its robust health profile – strong resistance to powdery mildew and septoria leaf blotch helps reduce fungicide protection costs.
Advantages of choosing Triticale Winter AVOKADO:
- Reliability on poor soils: Performs well and yields on poor and very poor sites, maximising profitability of more difficult plots to cultivate.
- High grain quality and size: The harvested yield features high TGW, good uniformity, low admixture, and increased protein content.
- Protection against grain sprouting in the ear: Very high resistance to sprouting (6/9) ensures maintenance of high grain parameters even in capricious, rainy weather during harvest.
- Robust crop health: Outstanding resistance to powdery mildew (6/9) and septoria leaf blotch (6/9) minimises pathogen pressure and facilitates crop management.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Triticale Winter AVOKADO:
Will Avokado triticale perform well on poorer soils?
Definitely yes. One of the main advantages of the Avokado variety is its exceptional tolerance to poor and very poor soil sites. This variety can produce a high, satisfactory yield on poorer agricultural complexes. However, it is important to avoid very strongly acidic sites, which limit the development of all cereals.
How to adjust the sowing rate depending on the timing?
The standard, optimal rate is 300-350 seeds/m². In the case of early sowing or intensive cultivation technology, it is recommended to reduce this rate by 10%. If you are performing delayed sowing, this rate should be increased by 10% to compensate for the shorter time available for autumn tillering of plants.
