Description
TORO is a new short-stemmed winter triticale with outstanding health and incredibly high resistance to periodic water shortages. Winter triticale TORO is characterised by high resistance to most diseases affecting this species. The plants have a high tillering coefficient and very high tolerance in site selection. It yields well and reliably on both nutrient-rich and poorer soils.
Winter triticale TORO, key advantages
- TORO triticale is a variety with a very high tillering coefficient. The short, stiff, and lodging-resistant stem makes triticale cultivation much easier,
- Health is also a major advantage of TORO. The plants show very high resistance to most diseases, with exceptionally high resistance to powdery mildew,
- The grain has medium weight, characterised by very high uniformity and high protein content,
- TORO yields well and reliably on various sites – both very fertile and lighter, more nutrient-poor soils. It tolerates soils with disturbed pH.
