Description

Zorvec Entecta Corteva - fungicide in potato cultivation

  • Dedicated to protecting potato crops against potato late blight - world-class protection: 4.9 out of 5 points according to EuroBlight (leaf blight),
  • High application efficiency,
  • Contains two active substances (for better efficacy) - oxathiapiprolin and amisulbrom,
  • The product supports resistance management to fungicide active substances,
  • Suitable for both preventive and curative use,
  • In a convenient suspension emulsion form,
  • Can be used every season, even under difficult weather conditions,
  • Safe and easy to use,
  • Resistant to wash-off by rain just 20 minutes after application,
  • Provides effective protection of new growth, moving to new leaves of the plant.

Zorvec Entecta - fungicide in suspension emulsion (SE) form for dilution with water. It has both surface and systemic action - it works on the plant surface where applied, but also penetrates the plant and circulates with the sap, destroying the fungus on and inside the plant. Intended for preventive and curative use in protecting potatoes against potato late blight.

The two active substances in the product belong to different chemical groups. Both have different modes of action and act on pathogens in a complementary way. This ensures increased efficacy. The amount of active substances in Zorvec Entecta is selected to provide high effectiveness against pathogens and prevent resistance development.

Moreover, using Zorvec Entecta provides 3 to 4 days longer protection compared to other fungicides for controlling potato late blight, even under difficult conditions and high disease pressure. This gives potato growers greater flexibility in planning treatments against potato late blight and allows them to reduce the number of applications.

The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.

Zorvec Entecta Corteva for potato late blight - mode of action:

Zorvec Entecta effectively controls pathogens at every stage of their life cycle.

  • Inhibits the production of potato late blight spores,
  • Reduces the viability of fungal spores,
  • Prevents the release of zoospores,
  • Inhibits germination and motility of spores,
  • Prevents direct germination of zoospores that can infect through stomata,
  • Stops mycelium growth inside the plant before visible infection symptoms appear.

Fungicide Zorvec Entecta - active substance content:

  • oxathiapiprolin (compound from the isoxazolin group) – 48 g/l (4.43%),
  • amisulbrom (compound from the sulfonamide group) – 240 g/l (22.16%).

Which fungal diseases does Zorvec Entecta protect against?

  • Potato late blight.

In which crops can Zorvec Entecta be used?

  • Potato.

Fungicide for potato late blight Zorvec Entecta - pre-harvest interval, re-entry period and crop rotation:

Re-entry period - time from application until people and animals can enter the treated area:

  • Do not enter until the spray liquid on the plant surface has completely dried.

Pre-harvest interval - time from last application to crop harvest:

  • Potatoes - 7 days.

Time from last application to sowing or planting succeeding crops:

  • In case of early crop destruction, it is possible to plant or sow succeeding crops 30 days after the last Zorvec Entecta treatment. Under normal conditions/normal growing cycle - not applicable.

Fungicide Zorvec Entecta Corteva - preparation of spray liquid:

Shake the container contents before opening. Prepare the spray liquid immediately before use. Before preparing the spray liquid, determine the required volume and amount of product. When filling the sprayer, follow the sprayer manufacturer's instructions. If no instructions are available, add the measured amount of product to the sprayer tank partially filled with water (with the agitator on). Rinse empty containers three times with water and pour the rinsate into the sprayer tank with the spray liquid, then fill with water to the required volume and mix thoroughly. In case of breaks during spraying, mix the spray liquid in the sprayer tank thoroughly before resuming work.

Potato fungal disease product Moxato - usage guidelines:

  • Effective treatment requires thorough coverage of plants with spray liquid.
  • The product is sufficiently rainfast if rainfall occurs no earlier than 20 minutes after application.
  • The product contains two active substances with different modes of action: oxathiapiprolin (oxysterol-binding protein modulator - OSBP, FRAC group 49) and amisulbrom (cellular respiration inhibitor, cytochrome bc1 inhibitor, Qil fungicides, FRAC group 21). Repeated use of the same product or different products containing active substances with the same mode of action may reduce efficacy.
  • As part of resistance management strategy for Zorvec Entecta and other products containing active substances from FRAC group 49, it is recommended to:
    - use the product preventively, before visible disease symptoms appear, at full recommended dose, up to 4 times per growing season,
    - limit use to a maximum of 1/3 of all planned treatments in the season; if the program includes up to three treatments, use Zorvec Entecta only once,
    - include products with active substances from different chemical groups and modes of action in the protection program (alternating or sequential use),
    - if using Zorvec Entecta sequentially, do not apply more than three treatments in a row; the next treatment should use a product with a different mode of action.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke while using the product.
  • Wear protective gloves and work clothing (coveralls) during preparation of spray liquid and application.
  • Avoid skin contamination.
  • Avoid inhaling spray mist.
  • Do not contaminate water with the plant protection product or its packaging. Do not wash equipment near surface waters. Avoid contamination of waters via drainage ditches from farms and roads. Avoid environmental release inconsistent with intended use.
  • To protect aquatic organisms, establish a 4 m buffer zone from water bodies and watercourses. To protect plants and non-target arthropods, establish a 1 m buffer zone from non-agricultural land.
  • During flowering of crops, it is recommended to apply the product outside periods of bee activity.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Store plant protection products:
    - in original packaging,
    - in a way preventing contact with food, beverages or feed, environmental contamination, and access by unauthorized persons,
    - at temperatures between 0°C and 30°C.
  • Protect from freezing.

Maximum/recommended dose per single application: 0.25 l/ha Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 4 Interval between treatments: at least 7 days. Recommended water volume: 150-600 l/ha Use higher water volume in dense crops or with well-developed potato foliage to ensure thorough coverage.

Application timing: Use from the stage when the first lateral shoot is visible (> 5 cm) (BBCH 21) until the stage when the berries of the first fruit cluster are wrinkled and seeds have typical colour (BBCH 89). Make the first treatment preventively, before the first disease symptoms appear; subsequent treatments as needed every 7-10 days. Use shorter intervals between treatments under higher disease pressure.
