The product should be applied as a foliar spray or via drip irrigation. The substance acts as a growth regulator, disrupting insect development in the pre-imaginal stage and preventing the formation of ecdysone, the main hormone responsible for moulting and metamorphosis to the adult insect stage. It also has antifeedant (feeding inhibition) and repellent effects. It acts by direct contact and ingestion.
Azatin EC is intended for use by professional users with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field or orchard sprayers or handheld sprayers and in drip irrigation systems. Approved for use only in permanently constructed greenhouses isolated from the growing medium.
