Onion Majka
Description
Early variety, number of days from sowing to the beginning of green shoot bending — about 105. Depending on the sowing date, the harvest of onions with dried skin falls in mid-July. A high-yielding variety, with a large proportion of onions over 7 cm in diameter and an average weight of 90–130 g. Spherical shape, yellow-brown skin colour, thin neck. The variety is suitable only for short-term storage — until the end of January. Recommended for direct market supply — for sale in bunches in early June and for peeling white. Its seeds can be sown at two times — very early spring and as a catch crop — in May (e.g. after potatoes), with harvest at the beginning of September. Sowing rate — about 800,000 seeds (approx. 3 kg) per ha.
