  • Strengthens conifers' resistance to pathogens.

First Aid Fertiliser for Conifers Twój Ogród is a professional, comprehensive top-dressing fertiliser for coniferous plants that enhances their resistance and colouring. It supplies all necessary nutrients stimulating plant growth and branching and strengthens their disease resistance. Regular fertilisation without micronutrients causes plants to look unattractive, their needles not optimally coloured. These may be symptoms of micronutrient deficiency. Iron (Fe) plays a key role in optimal colouring.

Conifer cultivation and care conditions:

All conifers are sensitive to magnesium deficiency, which is a fundamental component of chlorophyll. Its lack causes disturbances in chlorophyll synthesis and poorer photosynthesis, resulting in weaker plant growth, loss of green needle colour and yellowing. Severe magnesium deficiency causes drying out. Twój Ogród fertiliser against needle browning ensures beautiful green needle colour and high photosynthesis activity, resulting in strong, healthy, and beautifully growing plants.

Conifers are among the most popular plants in our gardens, gaining popularity due to their high resistance to adverse weather conditions. They provide beautiful greenery all year round.

For good growth and colouring, conifers should be planted in acidic soils. The best growing medium for conifers is humus-rich loamy-sandy soil. The suitable pH range is 4.8 – 5.8.

Proper care and regular fertilisation of conifers should be done using compound mineral fertilisers containing micro and macronutrients. Conifers need fertilising throughout the growing season. To ensure optimal effect, different types of fertilisers should be used alternately. Different types and methods of fertilising conifers (top-dressing, foliar fertilisation) change with the seasons.

Young plants should be watered less frequently but thoroughly. Recommended soil wetting depth is 10-15 cm, preferably in the evening. In summer during sunny weather, remember to water regularly, on average every ten days. Coniferous trees like sprinkling, which increases air humidity. Older plants, due to a well-developed root system, do not require frequent watering.

In autumn (if dry), remember to water plants. Well-watered plants better withstand harsh winter conditions. Evergreen plants often dry out in winter and early spring due to lack of water.

Mulching the soil positively affects conifer growth and overall condition. Bark is most commonly used, which limits weed growth and retains soil moisture. Mulch decomposes enriching the soil with humus and improving its structure. Composting bark beforehand is recommended for mulching.

Conifers do not require pruning; only damaged, frostbitten, dried shoots should be removed, or to increase light if plants are too densely planted and heavily shaded. Conifers are often pruned to limit their size or to shape them as desired. The best conifers for shaping are: yews, firs, cypresses, junipers, larches, spruces, and arborvitae. Yew can be pruned and shaped at any age. Pruning is best done in spring.

Selected conifer species are also suitable for planting in pots on balconies and terraces.

Granulated Twój Ogród fertiliser for conifers - usage tips:

  • Store fertiliser in closed, original packaging, in dry rooms, away from food and feed, out of reach of children.
  • Protect from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, and mechanical damage during storage and transport.
  • Shelf life - unlimited if storage conditions are met.
  • Use fertiliser in a balanced way; fertilisation should be based on plant needs and growing medium fertility.
  • Prevent fertiliser from reaching surfaces not intended for fertilisation.

Apply fertiliser top-dressing, evenly over the entire area around the plant up to the distance of the most protruding branches from the tree trunk. Use a dose of 20-60 g/m2. 1kg of fertiliser is enough for 33m2.

Repeat fertilisation 2-3 times at intervals of about 4-6 weeks from the start of vegetation until mid-July.
