TUCANNON ONION - VARIETY FEATURES:
type: Spanish
vegetation period: 100 days
Onion Tucannon is a very early variety of the Spanish type. Harvest takes place about 10 days earlier than standard varieties, allowing for accelerated production. It is intended both for peeling and for short-term storage.
The onions are uniform, firm, with a slightly elongated shape, which reduces losses during peeling. They have a shiny, well-adhering skin and strong, healthy green tops that persist until the end of the vegetation period. The bulbs reach a calibre above 70 mm, ensuring high yield and production uniformity.
The plant is distinguished by a strong root system, which allows it to yield well even in difficult conditions. It shows high tolerance to fusarium and pink root. The variety is characterised by a high proportion of bulbs with a single growth point. The recommended sowing rate is 3 units per hectare.
