Description

The fruits of this tomato weigh about 220 g, have a beautiful raspberry colour and are not prone to yellow spotting in summer.
The FUJIMARU tomato is also less susceptible to blossom end rot compared to the standard variety.
An important feature of this variety is medium resistance (IR) to powdery mildew (HR resistances: ToMV:0-2/ToTV/Ff:A-E/Fol:0,1/For/Va/Vd:0, IR: On).
The plants have strong vigour and can be grafted onto Maxifort rootstock, although grafting is not necessary.
Due to the strong vigour of the plants, it is recommended to remove the leaf between the clusters in the top part of the plant.
The plants grow rapidly and outpace other varieties in terms of flowering and fruit setting on successive clusters. It is very important to provide the plants with generative stimuli from the beginning of cultivation. This will facilitate good setting of the first and subsequent clusters. The number of fruits per cluster should be regulated to 4 pieces. Under optimal growing conditions, this new tomato fruits early. Specialists from De Ruiter recommend growing FUJIMARU F1 tomato in modern, tall greenhouses.
