FEATURES OF THE TRITICALE WINTER TADEUS VARIETY:

Triticale winter TADEUS, a breakthrough from Saaten Union breeding, has gained great recognition among farmers across the country. Its leading position is due to outstanding adaptive abilities – PDO trials have proven that it is the highest yielding triticale on sites with periodic water shortages, achieving 108% of the standard yield at level A1 and 106% at level A2. The yield potential is also confirmed by the highest rating of 9 on the COBORU scale for level A1 and a high rating of 8 for level A2. The key to such impressive yields is building them through one of the highest thousand grain weights (43.7 g) among varieties in the Polish register. The plants are characterised by medium straw length. Thanks to this and a sturdy stem, they exhibit above-average, high lodging resistance rated 8 on a 9-point scale.

This variety also ensures crop and harvest safety. It has very high winter hardiness (5.5 points according to COBORU), allowing trouble-free cultivation even in more challenging northern regions of the country. Moreover, high resistance to pathogens makes it perfectly suited for sites with a long-lasting snow cover. It shows very high resistance to rust (rating 8). A great advantage of TADEUS is the highest possible resistance to grain sprouting (7 points according to COBORU), which is invaluable during delayed, rainy harvests. Thanks to this combination of traits, it can also be successfully sown after cereal pre-crops.

Advantages of choosing Triticale Winter TADEUS:

  • Unrivalled during drought: The highest yielding triticale on sites with periodic water shortages (108% at A1 and 106% at A2). Provides maximum yield potential (rating 9 at A1).
  • Record grain weight: Produces one of the largest grains on the market (TGW 43.7 g according to COBORU), ensuring outstanding purchase quality.
  • Protection against sprouting: Highest resistance to sprouting in the ear (7 points on the COBORU scale) preserves yield value during rainy harvest weather.
  • High resistance and flexibility: Very good winter hardiness (5.5 points) allows trouble-free cultivation in the north. Additionally, very high resistance to rust (rating 8) and a stiff stem facilitate production.
