FEATURES OF WINTER TRITICALE PANASO VARIETY:

Winter triticale PANASO is a modern variety setting new productivity standards on the Polish and German markets. Its greatest asset is its exceptional adaptive ability to sites with faulty crop rotation (e.g. cultivation in cereal monoculture). It owes this to the title of Number 1 in resistance to fusarium head blight and septoria glume blotch (rating 6/9). Thanks to the robust health of the stand, plants cope excellently with the pressure of the most dangerous pathogens, allowing safe yield building and optimisation of fungicide protection costs.

This variety produces beautiful, large grain with a high Thousand Grain Weight (TGW approx. 44 g), characterised by very good density and uniformity. Plants with shortened stems show good lodging resistance, but with intensive cultivation technology, support of the stand with an appropriate growth regulator is recommended. High winter hardiness (rating 5.0) guarantees stable overwintering throughout the country. PANASO best develops its potential on medium quality and better soils (from class IIIa to IVb).

Advantages of choosing Winter Triticale PANASO:

  • Tolerance to faulty crop rotation: Genetic resistance to basal stem diseases and fusarium head blight allows safe and profitable sowing after poorer cereal preceding crops.
  • Record yields: A recognised and proven variety in Poland and Germany with an extremely high, stable yield potential.
  • Outstanding health: No. 1 in resistance to septoria glume blotch and fusarium, supported by very high resistance to powdery mildew (6/9) and yellow rust (6/9).
  • Excellent grain quality: Produces large grain (TGW approx. 44 g) with high uniformity, making it an excellent feed raw material.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Winter Triticale PANASO:

Why is PANASO a great choice for faulty crop rotation?

This variety shows the highest on the market, outstanding resistance to fusarium head blight and septoria glume blotch (ratings 6/9), as well as very good resistance to basal stem diseases. Thanks to this, sowing in cereal monoculture is much safer and does not involve a drastic yield drop caused by fungal pressure in the soil.

Is the use of growth regulators necessary?

Although PANASO has genetically shortened (medium short) stems and generally good lodging resistance, the producer recommends applying stand shortening (growth regulator) when conducting plantations under intensive cultivation technology (with high nitrogen fertilisation) to fully secure the record yield before harvest.
