Description
HOW MADEX MAX WORKS:
Madex MAX is a modern, highly specialised insecticide with a biological profile, designed for precise control of codling moth in apple and pear orchards. The product's action is based on a naturally occurring pathogen – granulovirus (CpGV), which is exceptionally effective against pest larvae. The product exhibits stomach action, meaning it must be ingested by young caterpillars. Immediately after ingestion, infected larvae stop feeding, definitively halting fruit damage. Depending on the dose, pests die within a few days or at later developmental stages. Madex MAX is fully selective, making it safe for beneficial organisms and an ideal component of integrated plant protection.
Advantages of using Madex MAX:
- Natural origin: Utilises the power of a biological pathogen without burdening the environment with synthetic chemicals.
- Immediate damage cessation: Infected larvae stop feeding immediately after consuming the product.
- Ecosystem safety: The product is safe for bees and other beneficial insects present in the orchard.
- Protection against sunlight: The formula includes built-in UV protection, which prolongs the virus's stability in the field.
- Mixing flexibility: Compatibility with most fungicides and insecticides allows optimisation of treatments.
MADEX MAX ACTIVE SUBSTANCE CONTENT:
Cydia pomonella Granulosis Virus (CpGV) - entomopathogenic virus from the Baculoviridae family (>3 x 10¹³ units) - 6.24 g/l.
MADEX MAX APPLICATION SCOPE, TIMING AND DOSES:
Madex MAX is intended for application using orchard sprayers and handheld sprayers. For maximum effectiveness, monitoring populations with pheromone traps is recommended.
pome fruit trees (apple tree, pear tree)
codling moth
Apply the product from the emergence of the first larvae.
Maximum dose for single application: 0.05 l per hectare per metre of tree canopy height, in up to 400 litres of water
Recommended dose for single application: 0.05 l per hectare per metre of tree canopy height, in up to 400 litres of water
Maximum number of treatments per growing season – 10.
Interval between treatments: minimum 8 days.
Recommended water volume: 400 l/ha per metre of tree canopy height
Treatment schedule:
It is recommended to perform 5 applications per generation of caterpillars. The interval between treatments should be at least 8 days. In case of intense sunlight, repeating the treatment after 8 sunny days ensures continuous protection.
Important notes:
- Shake the product thoroughly before use.
- Do not mix with copper-based products or products with very strong acidic or alkaline pH.
- Madex MAX contains substances that may cause allergic reactions; therefore, protective clothing should be worn and inhalation of sprayed liquid avoided.
MADEX MAX PRE-HARVEST INTERVAL:
Not applicable – the product can be used without concerns about chemical residues during the pre-harvest period.
