An annual plant with a distinctive rooty, aromatic scent and a bitter-spicy flavour, similar to pepper. Savory is an excellent seasoning for meat, fish, potatoes, soups. Perfect for pickling cucumbers. Thanks to its high essential oil content, it improves digestion and has dietary effects. Sow in April, covering the seeds with a thin layer of soil. Harvest begins at the start of flowering.
