  The particular plasticity of this variety allows cultivation in diverse soil and climatic conditions. This cabbage, thanks to a strong root system, will grow well in both better and poorer years. Lion has been valued for many years due to reliable storage even in very simple storage facilities. After storage, heads cleaned of outer leaves remain attractively green – a feature appreciated by all long-term cabbage producers. The heads peel quickly and easily, so preparation costs are lower. Despite an increasingly rich offer of cabbage varieties for storage, Lion remains the European standard in terms of resistance to internal necrosis (black discoloration on the head cross-section).
