Description

FEATURES OF THE WINTER TRITICALE TRIBUTO VARIETY:

Winter triticale TRIBUTO is an absolute market leader, combining record yield potential with outstanding crop health. It has the highest resistance to fusarium head blight on the market (rating 7 on a 9° scale), which, combined with very high resistance to powdery mildew and yellow rust, allows for significant reductions in fungicide protection costs. This variety produces a crop with a medium-short stem, showing good resistance to pre-harvest lodging, ensuring smooth harvesting.

By choosing TRIBUTO, you invest in excellent feedstock quality. The plant produces beautiful, large grains with a very high Thousand Grain Weight (TGW approx. 45-50 g), characterised by elevated protein content. Thanks to above-average resistance to grain sprouting (rating 5) and high frost resistance (rating 5.0), the crop is protected against both harsh winters and rainy harvests. Additionally, very good tillering ability allows for lower seeding rates, which effectively reduces seed purchase costs.

Advantages of choosing Winter Triticale TRIBUTO:

  • Unrivalled yield: Number 1 in yield in Poland, guaranteeing the highest return on investment in seed material across varied sites (classes IIIa-V).
  • Record health status: No. 1 in resistance to fusarium head blight (rating 7) and high resistance to key pathogens allow savings in crop protection programmes.
  • Excellent feed value: Large grains (TGW 45-50 g) and high protein content create an ideal, energy-rich raw material for animal feed preparation.
  • Economical sowing: Outstanding tillering ability enables reducing the seeding rate (250-300 germinating seeds/m²), lowering total crop establishment costs.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - Winter Triticale TRIBUTO:

Why is TRIBUTO recommended for cultivation after weaker preceding crops?

The key here is the outstanding, highest market resistance of this variety to fusarium head blight (rating 7 on a 9° scale). This provides farmers with exceptional crop security even on sites with poor crop rotation (e.g. cultivation after maize or in monoculture), drastically reducing the risk of yield infection by toxin-producing fungi.

How does the Tributo variety tiller and how to determine its seeding rate?

Tributo is distinguished by very good autumn tillering ability, allowing for sparser sowing without loss of crop density before harvest. The optimal rate is only 250-300 seeds per 1 m² (about 130-150 kg/ha). For early sowing dates or intensive fertilisation, it is additionally recommended to reduce this rate by 10%.
