Onion Siedmiolatka Kaigaro is a chive variety with intensely green leaves that does not form bulb swellings. The plants require fertile, humus-rich and moist soil, preferably cultivated in the second year after manure application. This variety is not frost-resistant, so it is grown in the summer season.
Sowing of seeds takes place from April to June, and the chives can be cut from June to the end of September. The variety performs excellently in the kitchen – especially for salads, coleslaws and sandwiches – thanks to its delicate flavour and juicy leaf texture.
