An annual plant 60-80 cm tall with a bushy habit and several upright stiff stems. Its decorative value comes from the multicoloured leaves - purple, red, pink, yellow, chocolate brown. The inconspicuous flowers borne on the stems have no ornamental value. An attractive plant for growing in flower beds and for cutting. Sow seeds on trays or directly into the ground in April. At 16-18°C, germination occurs after 10-14 days. After germination, space plants 25-35 cm apart. Grow in fertile soil in a sunny location.
