HOW BROS NATURALNIE SLUG BARRIER WORKS:
Bros Naturalnie Slug Barrier is an innovative and fully ecological solution that creates a mechanical obstacle impassable for troublesome pests. The preparation comes in the form of natural granules which swell and bind together upon contact with moisture, forming a dense, felt-like mat. The specific texture of the resulting layer is particularly unpleasant to slugs to the touch, effectively discouraging them from moving towards protected crops. Besides its protective function, the product acts as mulch: it helps retain moisture in the growing medium and forms a physical barrier against germinating weeds. This is a season-long and completely environmentally safe solution – the barrier is biodegradable and eventually breaks down into natural nutrients enriching the soil.
Advantages of using BROS slug barrier:
- Protection without chemicals: The product contains no biocidal substances, making it safe for children, pets, and beneficial garden organisms.
- Triple action: Effectively repels slugs, limits weed growth, and prevents excessive water evaporation from the soil.
- Durability and efficiency: Once formed, the felt mat maintains its protective properties throughout the growing season.
- Full biodegradability: After the season ends, the product can be dug into the soil, transforming into a natural fertiliser.
- Versatility: Perfectly suited for both traditional ground cultivation and container growing on balconies or terraces.
COMPOSITION AND PROPERTIES:
The product is made from natural organic material in granule form. Upon contact with water, the granules form a uniform felt structure. The preparation is free from insecticides and toxic substances.
APPLICATION AND USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Before application, ensure that no hidden slugs are present on the plants or in their immediate vicinity (e.g., under the bottom of pots) – if found, remove them.
Plant protection instructions:
Individual plants: Scatter granules in a ring about 10 cm in diameter around the stem.
Beds and flower borders: Create a protective strip about 5 cm wide around groups of plants.
Pots and containers: Evenly scatter the product over the entire surface of the growing medium. Ensure that leaves do not touch objects outside the pot, which could create a "bridge" for slugs over the barrier.
Important tips:
- After spreading, moisten the granules to initiate the formation of the felt mat.
- If the barrier is mechanically broken (e.g., by animals or gardening work), promptly replenish the gaps with new granules.
- After use, the product can be left to decompose naturally on the surface or mixed into the soil.
