Description

GRANDEX TWIN – biological orchard protection against codling moths

GRANDEX TWIN is a modern biological insecticide intended for the control of the most dangerous pests in orchards, based on the entomopathogenic granulosis virus CpGV. The product is dedicated to professional users seeking effective and safe plant protection solutions.

The active substance of the product is Cydia pomonella Granulosis Virus (CpGV-GV0014), belonging to the Baculoviridae family, which acts selectively on pest larvae.

Mode of action

GRANDEX TWIN acts biologically – the virus infects pest larvae after ingestion, leading to the cessation of feeding and eventual death.

The product acts only on selected species of codling moths, making it safe for beneficial organisms, pollinators, and the natural environment.

Application

GRANDEX TWIN is used in the protection of orchard crops, where it provides an effective solution against pests:

  • codling moth
  • lesser codling moth

Use in small-scale crops

The product can be used in a wide range of orchard crops:

  • pear tree, Asian pear tree
  • walnut, hazelnut
  • quince, flowering quince
  • sweet cherry, sour cherry
  • apricot, nectarine

The product is intended for use before larval hatching and during periods of their active occurrence.

Application recommendations

The best results are achieved when the product is applied before the first larvae hatch.

Treatments should be repeated during the season, taking into account pest flight patterns and the level of threat to the plantation.

Benefits of using GRANDEX TWIN

  • biological, safe action
  • high selectivity towards pests
