Description

Isonet Z Sumi Agro - dispenser containing pheromones disorienting the currant clearwing moth

Benefits of hanging the Isonet Z dispenser, Sumi Agro:

  • Does not kill insects, only causes cessation of their reproduction,
  • Attracts and disorients the currant clearwing moth,
  • Dedicated for use in black currant cultivation, and small-scale also in white currant, red currant, and gooseberry cultivation.

Isonet Z is a dispenser (VP) containing active substances (pheromones) released continuously throughout the entire moth activity period. It is used to attract and disorient male currant clearwing moths, consequently reducing the occurrence of the pest in currant and gooseberry crops.

Isonet Z plant protection product - mode of action:

The action of Isonet Z does not involve directly killing pests. The pheromones released from the dispensers disorient males, preventing them from fertilising females. Unfertilised females do not lay eggs. Then adult individuals die without continuing the species. Besides protecting plantations from egg laying and caterpillar feeding in the year of application, the technology using pheromone dispensers to disorient males leads to gradual reduction of the currant clearwing moth population in the protected area, therefore its use is recommended in subsequent growing seasons.

Isonet Z plant protection product - active substance content:

  • (E,Z)-2,13-octadecadienyl acetate (compound from the aliphatic acetate group) – 82 mg/dispenser (68.3%),
  • (E,Z)-3,13-octadecadienyl acetate (compound from the aliphatic acetate group) – 3 mg/dispenser (2.5%).

Currant clearwing moth disorienting dispenser Isonet Z - application:

The dispenser is a polyethylene tube that should be attached to the upper part of the bush, preferably in the shade, by wrapping and looping it around the selected shoot in a way that prevents it from slipping off.

In edge rows and other parts of the orchard exposed to stronger pest infestations, a greater number of dispensers should be hung, maintaining a maximum of 300 pieces/ha.
