Description
SAHARA Grass Seeds
A grass mixture with lower water requirements. Designed for areas with water scarcity and drought periods. Sahara is a fast-growing grass intended for recreational areas and sports fields.
Sowing time:
Sow between April and October into properly prepared soil.
Soil preparation:
Before sowing, remove weeds, old turf and stones. Then level the surface and fertilise the soil. Next, sow 3 kg of lawn fertiliser per 100 m2. Additionally, it is advisable to spread peat in the amount of 160-200 litres. Fertilisers and peat should be mixed into the soil to a depth of 5-8 cm.
Sowing seeds:
It is recommended to sow 2-3 kg of seeds per 100 m2. Divide the measured portion in half and sow twice in a criss-cross pattern. The next step is to mix the seeds with the soil to a depth of 0.5-1 cm using a spike roller or rake. Then it is recommended to compact the surface with a smooth roller or board. Until the grass emerges (approx. 3 weeks), keep the soil surface moist by frequent sprinkling. Water the lawn preferably early in the morning or late in the evening.
Mowing and lawn care:
The first mowing should be done when the grass reaches about 10 cm, cutting it down to 5 cm. Subsequent mowings should be done regularly, cutting the grass down to 3 cm.
