Comodo 480 EC
Comodo 480 EC is a selective soil-applied herbicide containing the active substance chlomazon, which controls annual monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in winter oilseed rape.
Description
ACTION OF COMODO 480 EC:
Comodo 480 EC is a selective herbicide that provides effective protection of winter oilseed rape against troublesome monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds. The product, available as a concentrate for emulsion preparation (EC), is intended for soil application immediately after sowing. The key ingredient is chlomazon (from the isoxazolidinone group), which acts systemically, entering weeds mainly through the roots.
The mode of action of chlomazon involves inhibiting carotenoid synthesis – compounds essential for protecting chlorophyll from degradation. As a result, Comodo 480 EC controls weeds already at the germination stage. Sensitive plants that are at the emergence stage bleach and die after contact with the product. This mode of action ensures a clean field from the very beginning of the growing season, supporting optimal development of oilseed rape. To achieve maximum effectiveness, it is crucial to apply the product to well-cultivated, clod-free soil.
Advantages of using Comodo 480 EC:
- High soil efficacy: Controls weeds at germination, ensuring a clean field from oilseed rape emergence.
- Systemic action: The active substance penetrates through roots, guaranteeing effective pathogen control.
- Versatile application: Effective against sensitive annual monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds, including cleavers and purple dead-nettle.
- Compatibility: Optimises the spectrum of controlled weeds when mixed with Znachor 500 SC.
- Support for oilseed rape: Provides the young plant with a competitive advantage during the critical early growth phase.
