Anti-lodging agents

Anti-lodging agents are growth regulators intended to reduce lodging in cereals and oilseed rape. They are mainly professional products for growing wheat, barley, triticale, rye and oats as well as winter and spring oilseed rape.

About the Anti-lodging agents category

The growth regulators in this category are intended for shortening and strengthening cereal stems and for regulating the growth of oilseed rape. The main active substances are trinexapac-ethyl, chlormequat chloride, ethephon and prohexadione-calcium; some products combine two substances, for example trinexapac-ethyl with prohexadione-calcium. Example products are Moddus 250 EC and Stabilan 750 SL.

Some products are both growth regulators and fungicides, for example with mepiquat chloride and metconazole or with paclobutrazol and difenoconazole; these are intended mainly for oilseed rape. The category also includes fungicides with tebuconazole combined with prothioconazole or difenoconazole. Brands include Syngenta, BASF, Nufarm and Qemetica. The registered crops and doses of each product are given on its label.

Use plant protection products safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
